Day 1
Today, we will start our marvelous trip to the north of the Ecuadorian highlands. We will have the opportunity to know more about the indigenous community’s life style. Our first stop will be Cochasqui. The pyramids of this place are considered the most important archaeological site in the Northern Andes of Ecuador. In 1979, the pyramids were declared a Cultural Patrimony of Mankind. Cochasquí is made up of 15 truncate pyramids and about 20 dispersed funeral knolls, all of which are enclosed in an 84 hectares area. Then, we will be driven to Mojanda, this place is 3.714 meters over sea level. It is a complex of three lakes Caricocha (male lake) or big lake, Huarmicocha (female lake) or small lake and Yanacocha or black lake. The three of them are connected by different moor paths and defended by two mountains the Fuya-Fuya to the East and the Yanahurco or Black Mountain to the wes. Afterwards, we will continue the journey to one of the rose farms of Cayambe area. At this farm, we will see the famous Ecuadoria
Day 2
Early in the morning, we will be driven through Otavalo, to visit its famous market of ponchos here you can buy some of our typical handicrafts, then we are going to visit Peguche considered a sacred waterfall. Continue our trip we visit Cotacachi a famouse city for its leather elaborations, here we eat a typical lunch. The next stop is Cuicocha Laggon, which is located in Cotacachi-Cayapas Ecological Reserve; the particularity of this lagoon is that in its center there are two islets that bear the names of Teodoro Wolf and José Maria Yerovi, separated by the "Dream Channel ". These islands are the product of small eruptions that followed the main eruption. Finally the days we arrive to San Clamente Community. Overnight. by UNESCO, where you visit the Main Square, The Compañia of Jesus Church, and San Francisco Church, after that you will go to Panecillo’s hill, which is a beautiful view point of Quito’s city. Then you will go to the Middle of the world where you visit the Intiñan Museum, it is an Interactive museum where you understand what happen in the equator line, and visit the Middle of the world city, where we have the monument established by French Geodesic mission
Day 3
Today, we will be part of the community, we wil vhelp them on their daily activities, such as: agriculture or in the elaboration of wood handicrafts. Their inspiration is the great biodiversity of the area. Additional will make a walk through the family garden, identifying all the plants that are grown there and informing them about the properties, stories and uses that each has Before lunch, we will travel to our next stop, Lasso. Overnight
Day 4
Breakfast. Also this day we will have the opportunity to visit Saquisili; which had a great indigenous market all Thursdays. The animal market ends already around 9:00 o´clock in the morning and it is the most exciting attraction of the whole market action. So, we have to wake up early in the morning. We visit a traditional fair that offers agricultural products, food, clothing, and multitude of curiosities. Their folklore and dancers makes this place an interesting market to visit. Then we walk in the Cotopaxi National Park, around the Limpiopungo Lagoon. Continue the trip of these day we finally arrive to Salasaca Community, Salasaca has always been characterized as an artisan, the designs have full details, they maintain the stylization of three-dimensional figures and also such as volcanoes, valleys, rivers, etc. Overnight. every interest and fitness level or also some trails are well-marked and easy to navigate on your own; or if you want more adventure, you can rent a mountain bikes size 15” to 18.5” as well as helmets. There are many trails perfect for biking, and you can ride your bike to the top of a nearby hill for after enjoying the descent back to Zuleta!
Day 5
Breakfast. In the morning we will organize the activities of your preference, in you like farming, milking cows, Knit or collaborate in the kitchen you can choose what you like. Before the lunch, we go to Baños, at the arrive we visit the waterfall Route that comprising: Pailon del diablo, Manto de la Novia, and Agoyan waterfall. Overnight.
Day 6
Before breakfast, we driven we will have some activities to fulfill, the first one was to help them and know more about agriculture process. Then, we will share time with the children of the community and teach them some extra activities, such as: English lessons, origami, singing, dancing, the activity that you like to contribute. After lunch, we will travel to Quito. You will be driven to your hotel to have a rest. Overnight.
Day 6
Before breakfast, we go to Riobamba, to Casa Condor Community we will have some activities to fulfill, the first one was to help them and know more about agriculture process. Then, we will share time with the children of the community and teach them some extra activities, such as: English lessons, origami, singing, dancing, the activity that you like to contribute. Overnight.
Day 7
Breakfast. In the morning we do activities with the community. Before lunch, we will travel to Quito. Arrive to hotel or airport. End of the services.
